I call this one “Mother-In-Law’s Roast”. I posted this a couple years back but recently saw it shared so I thought I’d share it again.
Layer the bottom of the crock pot with onions. Place roast on top (I used a rump roast) and salt and pepper it. Then put potatoes, carrots and celery all around it (sometimes I’ll add whole mushrooms if I know my son won’t be eating it 😆) Then I top with a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of cream of celery. This time I added a packet of pot roast seasoning mix, I don’t always though. *do NOT add any water* Cook on low for 8-9 hours. The juices from the roast and the cans of soup will make it’s own type of gravy. We like to cook rice to go along with it and top that with the gravy as well, or make mashed potatoes and leave the potatoes out of the crock pot
